“Pro Bono is one of the most potent weapons in access to justice…”
- VA Supreme Court Justice Bernard Goodwyn
As lawyers, it is truly our highest calling to serve those who cannot afford legal counsel and, but for our help, may be denied access to justice. It is upon this principle that the ACCP’s Legal Professionals Group was founded.
ACCP member companies: please consider inviting your company’s lawyers to join for the ACCP’s inaugural legal profession quarterly meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at 12pm PT / 3pm ET. Never before have we seen such widespread need for legal assistance (whether due to COVID-19, racial unrest, and election challenges, among many other needs). The ACCP legal profession group is not only appropriate for CSR professionals at law firms, but is also open to legal team members from ACCP member companies.
Our goal for this first meeting is to discuss some of the challenges faced by CSR professionals in the legal space as a result of the pandemic, racial injustice and unrest, and election challenges, and grasping on these challenging times as an opportunity to do more and to help more people who desperately need, but cannot afford, legal representation. O’Melveny will be sharing some of its CSR initiatives involving pro bono work including, but not limited to SNAP appeals, small business representation, expungement clinics, domestic violence clinics, immigration clinics, frontline healthworkers’ assistance, and adoptions. We hope you can join!
After registering, you will receive information on how to join the webcast. If you have questions, please contact Melinda Bostwick.
This discussion is for ACCP members only.
