ACCP advances the field of corporate citizenship and serves as a strategic resource for its community of purpose driven professionals so they can do the most good – in their companies, their communities and around the world. The Association is calling for nominations from its members to the ACCP Board of Directors. The Board focuses on identifying and advancing the strategic priorities, goals, and opportunities that serve the needs of the Association, its members and the corporate citizenship profession.
ACCP aspires to be led by a Board that is a beacon for the field, one that shares the expertise, influence, resources and connections of its directors to advance the organization’s mission. As a leading social responsibility membership organization, supporting diversity, inclusion, and equity is a priority for ACCP, including in its selection of new incoming Board members. ACCP recognizes that the effectiveness of its Board lies in the unique composition of its members and their diverse personal and professional assets that round out the Board’s profile as a whole.
Serving on ACCP’s Board can be extremely rewarding. Board members often find that the experience expands their network and deepens connections with other leaders in the field, challenges them intellectually and increases their insight and perspectives, and helps them to grow professionally by giving back to the field. Board service also requires a commitment of time and resources. Members are expected to attend and actively participate in meetings, join a Board committee, and champion the organization in their professional networks.
Ideal nominees have extensive experience in corporate citizenship, influence within their organization, and a strong network of connections specific to their industries and geographies. Nominees will have demonstrated a strong commitment to ACCP through their own engagement and support.
The ACCP Board of Directors is a mission-driven, strategic-focused body. As ACCP and its members adapt to meet the challenges of this moment, the association has a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the profession and its impact on business and society.
